Lauren, if you can swing it, it's worth it, even if it's just the simulations. I just got my scores and I did very well on the first try. The NBCC practice exam is very similar to the actual exam.
I am waiting for the results of the exam I took 4/18. I first bought CasePro and found it difficult. I then used the counselingexam.com and it is much easier and much more in tune with the actual exam. Good luck
